Motorists can expect traffic delays as Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Carson City that killed at least two people early Wednesday morning on I-580 southbound near Snyder Avenue and Fairview Boulevard. I-580 southbound lanes are closed in this area with an unknown estimated time to reopen. According to NHP, the preliminary information known at this time is the crash was reported at approximately 4:51 a.m. and involved two vehicles. One vehicle was reported to be traveling wrong-way on I-580 southbound at the above location and struck the second vehicle. There are two confirmed fatalities at this time.
