Nov 05, 2026
Deer Valley Resort has unveiled its new trail map for the 2026-27 ski season.
Ski map artist Rad Smith hand-painted the map, which incorporates the new Hail Peak Express Lift, seven new runs and 200 additional acres of skiable terrain.
“This season’s trail map provides a captivating aer
ial snapshot of Deer Valley’s evolving reach,” said Deer Valley Resort Vice President of Marketing Kevin Kirksey. “As the resort continues to introduce new guest amenities, on-mountain infrastructure, and increased access to never-before-skied terrain, the map will continue to reflect the all-encompassing Deer Valley experience.”
The newest chairlift, Hail Peak Express, has 86 chairs and can carry 2,400 people per hour with 8,099 feet of haul rope over 3,975 inclined feet and a 1,130-foot vertical rise.
The lift serves seven new runs and 200 new acres, bringing the resort’s snowmaking coverage up to 932 acres and 32 total chairlifts. Hail Peak Express carries skiers from Deer Valley East Village to the resort’s newest terrain on Hail Peak. With 86 chairs moving 2,400 guests per hour, Hail Peak Express opens access to the resort’s easternmost edge. One of the seven runs debuting this year on Hail Peak, “Hill Yeah,” pays tribute to Hill Air Force Base in Northern Utah, the resort said.
Since December 2024, the resort’s new chairlifts have included Keetley Express, HooDoo Express, Aurora, Galena Express, Pioche Express, Neptune Express, Vulcan Express, Revelator Express, Pinyon Express, Hail Peak Express, and the Deer Valley East Village Gondola.
The resort is slated to open to the public on Dec. 5, conditions permitting.
