A patient at Carrollton Regional Medical Center told Carrollton Police that they woke up to a patient care technician assaulting them in their hospital bed. Police said the patient identified 46-year-old Ernest Ussin Jr. as the suspect. After an investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for hi s arrest on one count of indecent assault by a health care or mental health provider, a state jail felony. Ussin was arrested Tuesday and taken to the Carrollton Jail. Police said they will transfer him to the Denton County Jail. Carrollton police said detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Ussin, or who has information about similar incidents involving him, to come forward.
