Fresno’s New HOTWORX at Park Crossing: Sip, See Sweat This Saturday
Nov 02, 2026
Curious about the new HOTWORX in North Fresno, but not quite sure what working out inside an infrared sauna actually means? This Saturday is your chance to get a closer look!
HOTWORX Fresno at Park Crossing is hosting Sip, See Sweat on Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be
studio tours, music by DJ Bambi, Pressed Juicery, Massage Envy, and a one-day offer of $0 sign-up fees for people who become members at the event.
I had a great conversation with Sam, the owner, today. What stood out was how much interest the studio has already generated, and how many people have the same question: How does this actually work?
That’s exactly why they’re holding this event. You can see the space, meet the team, and ask questions before deciding whether it’s the right fit for you.
A Local Owner With Central Valley Roots
Sam was born and raised in the Central Valley. He attended Fresno City College and then Fresno State, so this business has someone behind it who knows the community firsthand.
I love getting to know the people behind local businesses. A familiar brand name is one thing; learning about the person bringing it to our neighborhood is another. Talking with Sam gave me a chance to hear about the interest in this new location and the questions people are asking.
The Park Crossing studio is at 8472 N. Friant Road, Suite 102, near Friant and Audubon, with convenient access from Highway 41 and the Woodward Park area.
So, What Is HOTWORX?
HOTWORX combines guided exercise with heat and infrared energy inside a purpose-built sauna. The brand calls that combination “3D Training.” Rather than doing a workout and then sitting in a sauna afterward, you exercise inside the sauna itself.
Infrared heaters use radiant energy to warm your body. You follow a virtual instructor on a screen, so you’re not trying to figure out an entire workout on your own.
It’s also not a large, live-instructor group class. Sessions accommodate up to three members, making it a smaller, semi-private setting.
Two Ways to Work Out
1. 30-Minute Isometric Sessions2. 15-Minute HIIT SessionsThese include options such as Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Core, and Hot Stretch.Isometric exercises involve holding positions that keep muscles engaged, and the different sessions offer a mix of controlled movement, strength work, and stretching.HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training: periods of harder effort mixed with recovery.Options listed for Park Crossing include Hot Cycle and the rowing-based Hot Thunder. The team can walk you through the equipment and current session choices.
There’s More Than Just the Sauna
The studio also has an FX Zone (Functional Exercise Zone) with weights, bands, and other equipment for strength training outside the saunas.
You’re not limited to the heated sessions!
What Does a Visit Look Like?
Your first visit happens during staffed hours. The team shows you around, explains studio procedures, and helps you understand how to use the space and reserve workouts.
After onboarding, the membership model provides 24/7 access, with session booking through the HOTWORX app.
That flexibility is a big part of the appeal. If your schedule doesn’t line up with a typical group fitness class, you have more options for fitting in a workout.
And with sessions lasting just 15 or 30 minutes, you don’t necessarily need an hour-long opening in your day.
What to Bring for Your First Workout
For your first workout, wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring water.
The studio requires a HOTWORX mat and towel for its 30-minute isometric sessions, so ask the team about those requirements and any costs before you arrive.
The Benefits and Why People Are Interested
For me, the practical appeal starts with having several workout choices in one place.
You can focus on strength and core work, choose a cardio session, or make time for stretching rather than doing the same routine every visit.
Regular aerobic exercise can support cardiovascular fitness. Muscle-strengthening activity helps build strength and physical function, while stretching can help maintain flexibility.
Those are worthwhile goals whether you’re getting back into a routine or looking to add variety to one you already have.
The shorter sessions, small-group setting, and flexible access may also make it easier to stay consistent. A workout routine has to fit your life if you’re going to keep coming back.
A Note About Infrared Heat
The heat is part of what makes HOTWORX different, but more sweat isn’t a guarantee of more fat loss or better results.
Research on infrared sauna health benefits is still developing. Think of this as a different way to exercise, not a shortcut that replaces consistent movement and healthy habits.
A quick safety note: Heated workouts aren’t right for everyone. Stay hydrated, ease into the experience, and stop if you feel dizzy or unwell.
If you’re pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication that could affect heat tolerance, or have other concerns, check with your healthcare professional first.
