According to the Global Health and Wellness Institute, the health and wellness economy is set to reach $9.8 trillion by 2029. Atlantans can see that play out on many street corners across town as grand opening signs for new gyms, boutique
franchises, recovery spaces, and spas go up. Here are five health and wellness businesses coming to Atlanta by 2027.
Preserve Life
Wellness concept Preserve Life, which sits on a 1,200-acre wooded estate in Douglasville, Georgia, opened its membership-based longevity sanctuary Nutrition Nest in October for personalized nutrition consults, cooking lessons, recovery therapies, a retail boutique, and health food cafe. The brand is expanding to open a retreat center devoted to diagnostics, rest, and meditation called the Vitality Core. Dr. Michael Roizen, the physician behind the RealAge concept, advises the project.

Aegle Health Club
Founded by Dr. Courtney Perez, this 15,500-square-foot membership facility will open in 2027 on the Upper Westside. It will include a gym, medical longevity services, and recovery therapies that are personalized to you and your biology. The fitness benefits include a gym and AI-guided training, personal training sessions, wellness therapies (such as red light, compression, and sound therapy), and spa-like treatments including salt rooms, cold plunges, and Hydrafacials. An initiation and assessment fee of $1,500 includes a VO2 max test, 3D body composition, gait and mobility screening, neurofeedback brain mapping, a life-coaching assessment, skin and scalp analysis, and a private teleconsultation. Bloodwork and medical treatments are also available as add-ons.
Equinox
The New York City-based boutique gym and wellness brand Equinox will debut in Atlanta in 2027. The whopping 44,000-square-foot space, one of 100-plus internationally, will anchor Buckhead Village. The gym will feature Equinox’s signature state-of-the-art training facilities, personal training services, a full-service spa, wellness offerings, group fitness classes, Pilates, retail, and more. It also offers Optimize, a $40,000-a-year longevity program with a waitlist that includes biomarker testing, coaching, and more.

Viva Day Spa
Morningside institution Natural Body Spa + Med Spa, whose flagship was in the neighborhood for almost 40 years until it recently closed its doors to undergo renovations, will reopen in January as Viva Day Spa + Med Spa. It’s the first transformation for Natural Body stores across Metro Atlanta. The spa is undergoing its makeover to align with the Austin-based Viva Day Spa + Med Spa brand. When it opens, it will offer more amenities, including an infrared sauna and relaxation lounge, expanded massage and facial options, a Korean glass skin treatment, clinical skincare brands like SkinCeuticals, and medical aesthetic offerings.
Atlanta Sauna Club
Details are scarce so far about Atlanta Sauna Club, but what we do know is exciting: Atlanta Sauna Club will offer barrel and container saunas, communal cold plunges, and a curated outdoor courtyard to make the sauna experience more casual and social. There’s no official opening date yet, but the website says it will open in 2027, likely in town.
