PASIC INDIANAPOLIS — Drummers, percussionists, educators and music enthusiasts from around the world will gather in downtown Indianapolis Nov. 11-14 for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, known as PASIC 2026. Held at the Indiana Convention Center, PASIC bills itself as “ The Greatest 4 Days in Drums Percussion.” The annual event is the world’s largest convention dedicated exclusively to drums and percussion, featuring performers, educational sessions and activities spanning multiple musical genres and skill levels. The four-day convention will feature dozens of concerts, clinics and workshops covering jazz, rock, country, pop, marching percussion, symphonic music and world music. Organizers say the event welcomes everyone from professional musicians and music educators to students and casual music fans. The lineup includes acclaimed drummer Sheila E., known for her work as a performer and bandleader, along with Steve Gadd, whose credits include Paul Simon and Chick Corea. Other featured artists include Todd Sucherman of Styx, Jim Riley of Rascal Flatts and Matt Garstka of Animals As Leaders. Marching percussion enthusiasts can see performances featuring the West Point Hellcats and Boston Crusaders. The convention also will showcase world music artists Marcus Krieger, associated with Tito Puente, and Valerie Naranjo, known for her work on “Saturday Night Live.” Beyond the performances and educational opportunities, PASIC 2026 will feature an instrument and equipment expo with more than 100 vendors. Attendees can explore drums, percussion instruments, accessories and equipment, with organizers offering separate tickets for those interested in visiting the expo hall. Indiana residents also can take advantage of special ticket discounts. One option is a $50 Saturday pass that includes admission to the convention on Nov. 14 and the Sheila E. concert that evening. With performances, hands-on learning opportunities and an extensive industry expo, PASIC aims to bring together musicians and fans to celebrate the diversity of percussion and its role across musical styles. PASIC 2026 runs Nov. 11-14 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. ...read more read less
