According to officials with the Philadelphia Fire Department, as many as six people were rescued from flames in a home near the intersection of West Erie Avenue and North Sydenham Street after firefighters arrived at the scene at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, crews immediately worked to rescue as many as six people who were inside the burning three-story home. Three of the people who were pulled from the fire — two adults and a child — were hospitalized after suffering injuries. He told NBC10 that both the woman and the boy were expected to be okay. Officials said firefighters had the flames brought under control in about 15 minutes. An investigation is underway to determine what may have started this fire. ...read more read less
