The Melting PotExplore local food, entertainment, lifestyle tips and the people and places that make Indiana special. INDIANAPOLIS — The Melting Pot in Castleton is embracing the flavors of fall with a limited-time menu featuring seasonal ingredients, including apple cider, cranberries, candied pecans and pumpkin spice. General Manager Chandler Hancock is introducing guests to the restaurant’s “Fondue Into Fall” menu, which offers seasonal twists on the interactive dining experience. The menu is available through Nov. 22. Located at 5650 E. 86th St. near Castleton Square Mall, The Melting Pot invites guests to cook, dip and share a meal together. “What makes The Melting Pot so special is that dining here is truly an experience,” Hancock said. “Our guests aren’t just eating — they’re part of the cooking process. With our ‘Fondue Into Fall’ menu, we’ve taken that interactive element and paired it with flavors that remind you of everything you love about this season.” A taste of fall The seasonal menu features several dishes inspired by autumn flavors. The cranberry pecan cheese fondue combines Butterkäse and Fontina cheeses with an apple cider base, cherrywood-smoked ham, dried cranberries and candied pecans. The apple almond salad features spring mix, fresh apple slices, honey-roasted almonds and Gorgonzola cheese. For dessert, the pumpkin spice white chocolate fondue combines spiced pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice caramel and an autumn-spiced graham cracker crunch. “The cranberry pecan cheese fondue is a guest favorite already,” Hancock said. “That combination of sweet and savory — the cranberries with the smoked ham, the apple cider with the creamy cheese — it just works. And when you dip fresh bread or apples into it, you really taste fall.” The Melting Pot Pt.2Explore local food, entertainment, lifestyle tips and the people and places that make Indiana special. An interactive dining experience The Melting Pot offers three-course experiences for $29 per person and four-course experiences for $65 per person. Children eat free on Sundays. The restaurant accepts reservations and walk-ins, based on availability, making it an option for date nights, family dinners and gatherings with friends. Hancock said staff members receive training on the seasonal menu so they can explain the ingredients and preparation to guests. “We spend time making sure our staff knows not just how to prepare each dish, but the story behind it,” Hancock said. “When you understand why we chose Butterkäse and Fontina for the cheese fondue, or why pumpkin spice caramel elevates the white chocolate, you can share that passion with guests. That’s what turns a good meal into a memorable experience.” The restaurant also is hiring for multiple positions. Job seekers can find opportunities through The Melting Pot’s website.
