‘Why Wouldn’t You Listen’: Trump Gets Into a Heated BackandForth With Reporter, Yelling for Over a Minute After She Refuses to Back Down

Donald Trump temper has flared repeatedly outside the White House this week as he faces questions over another political controversy.
The 80-year-old was heading to a campaign rally when reporters pressed him for answers.
The cameras were rolling. The questions were coming fast.

Trump’s answers quickly grew heated and so did his temper.

The president grew combative when asked about his support for an Ohio campaign ad from Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy featuring Democratic rival Amy Acton’s estranged mother questioning her daughter’s honesty.
The ad, criticized by members of both parties, renewed attention on Acton’s accounts of childhood abuse. Trump defended Ramaswamy, prompting NBC News correspondent Monica Alba to press him.
“But do the sexual abuse allegations mean nothing to you?” Alba asked. When Trump continued speaking, she repeated the question.
“Who are you with?” he yelled.
“I am with NBC, sir,” she responded.
“One of the worst networks you have,” Trump said.
Alba kept pressing him about the allegations. Trump pointed at her and yelled, “Quiet.”
“Isn’t she a fresh person?” he asked, turning toward the other reporters. “You’re a horrible little reporter, aren’t you?”
Trump continued yelling for more than a minute as he defended using the mother’s comments against Acton.
“If my mother said bad things about me, do you think the Democrats would put it up? I think so. But my mother thought I was wonderful,” he said before looking upward and adding, “Thank you, Mom.”
He then returned to Acton’s mother.
“She said her daughter is a disaster. Her daughter is a liar. And she felt she had an obligation … I should be so lucky to have an ad like that.”
Turning back to Alba, Trump demanded, “Why wouldn’t you listen to a mother that says that? Why? Miss NBC, why wouldn’t you listen?”
“She stayed with her stepfather,” Alba responded
But on X, some viewers chimed in on the political firework, blasting Trump’s defense of the ad and questioning why more reporters didn’t challenge him.
“What a despicable and thoughtless person Donald Trump,” one commenter wrote.
Another disputed Trump’s claim that his mother thought he was wonderful, while a third turned their frustration toward the press.
“When he spews nonsense like this I just don’t understand why the entire press doesn’t band together and call him out? Can’t wait for the midterms.”
then eagled-eyed fans zoomed in on his thinning hair.
“OMG look … looks like cheap synthetic extensions glued on his potato head by a toddler bought from Temu!! This sack of fake hair and orange bones exploding in real time as the country world watch, WTF? #TemuTrump.”
Trump’s hair has practically become a recurring character in his second presidency. His political outbursts are unpredictable. His ever-changing combover might be even harder to keep up with.
In August, the president arrived in Las Vegas with noticeably fuller and brighter blond hair. Days later, the extra volume seemed to disappear, giving way to an exaggerated side part.
Viewers wondered whether his stylist had changed directions halfway through the assignment.
September brought another makeover. Trump went for a darker, brunette-colored look during a New Jersey visit. The dramatic shift fueled another round of jokes about his grooming routine.
By October, the president was still experimenting with different shades. Earlier this week, he appeared with a darker brown color after returning from Mar-a-Lago. Friday’s windblown appearance made that latest transformation seem especially short-lived.
The president has repeatedly denied wearing a wig. During a Sept. 2 White House gathering, he addressed the longstanding rumors himself.
“For years I had to suffer with people saying, ‘He wears a wig.’ I don’t wear a wig,” Trump insisted.
He has also acknowledged the challenges of maintaining his signature hairstyle. In 2018, he joked that he worked hard to hide a bald spot.
More recently, Trump complained about visible scalp near the crown of his head. During a rally in San Antonio, he noticed the thinning area on a large screen and expressed his displeasure.
His fixation has become entertainment for critics. Trump biographer Michael Wolff has even claimed that aides carry a portable kit containing hair patches. The allegation remains unverified.
Trump may have been determined to win the argument with reporters. Unfortunately, his combover appeared to be fighting a completely different battle.
