Trump’s TwoWeek Rally Run Finally Catches Up With Him as He Gripes About ‘Wasting Time’ on the Road
Oct 25, 2026
President Donald Trump has spent the past two weeks traveling across the country.
At every stop, he has boasted about massive crowds, while his jealous ego sometimes shows.
However, his attempts to build support for Republicans on the campaign trail ahead of the November midterm elections ha
ve not gone smoothly.

Several rallies have been marked by awkward moments and questions about crowd sizes. His physical appearance has also drawn attention. Now, the 80-year-old president appears to be losing patience.
But his remarks suggested he had grown tired of the rallies that are starting to take a toll on his body.

During an appearance in Fort Myers, Florida, Trump openly questioned why he was still campaigning.
“Best numbers ever. Income is the best numbers ever. Employment is the best numbers ever. But I’ll give you another one and then I’m going home because I’m wasting time,” Trump said on Friday, Oct. 23.
“Because when you have numbers like this, why do I have to keep doing this for? I’ve been doing this now for two weeks. Every week, I’m in a different place,” he continued. “But it is my home territory.”
The POTUS then admitted he was ready to go “home” since his Mar-a-Lago estate wasn’t too far away.
“I could go home very quick flight. I could go home to a quaint little place on the ocean and the lake,” Trump added. His declaration sparked an immediate backlash on social media.
“What a whiny b—ch,” one person wrote. Another suggested, “He can’t keep up,” with the momentum he keeps bragging about.
“Because he is desperate!” a third person added. But Trump’s plans to head home apparently did not last long.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, the president appeared noticeably discombobulated while speaking with reporters in Florida.
Political commentator Aaron Rupar immediately noticed.
“Trump has a rally later tonight and he can barely talk right now,” Rupar wrote on X.
Rupar later described the appearance as a “bizarre pre-rally gaggle” and said Trump “sounds like hell.”
According to Rupar, Trump claimed his uncle invented radar. He also discussed directing the Justice Department to sue Alaska over election matters. The president then suggested he could “violate” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker by sending troops into Chicago.
Trump also offered a defensive response when asked about his golfing companions.
He was preparing to travel to Georgia for yet another campaign rally.
The rambling exchange gave critics more material. One person joked, “Melania looks like she’s moments away from transferring $500 million into a personal account and bailing on Donald.”
The latest spectacle followed a demanding stretch of campaign appearances.
On Monday, Oct. 19, Trump delivered a nearly two-hour speech in Park City, Kansas. Approximately 6,000 people attended, according to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
The following day, he acknowledged the difficulty of his lengthy speeches, telling press, “It’s not easy to stand up there for two hours ranting, raving,” in the Oval Office.
Hours later, he complained about attendance at his Greenville, North Carolina, rally. The former reality star said he was “disappointed” that about 15,000 showed up.
“I thought it would be more,” Trump told supporters, insisting other rallies regularly attracted 25,000 to 30,000 people.
His rally in Pendleton, South Carolina, turned chaotic as one of his MAGA supporters reportedly punched a heckler in the crowd on Wed., Oct. 21. He continued egging it on while giving a shoutout to boxing legend Evander Holyfield, who was attending the event.
The next day, Oct. 22, brought another controversy over crowds.
Before arriving in Sioux City, Iowa, Trump claimed supporters were waiting in a line stretching for miles before he took the stage. They did, but footage showed a MAGA crowd squeezed inside a small airplane hangar at Sioux Gateway Airport.
Earlier October appearances had also produced uncomfortable images.
In Youngstown, Ohio, cameras captured empty bleacher sections covered in black plastic. In Dalton, Georgia, attendees were filmed leaving before Trump finished speaking.
His physical appearance has also attracted attention. Photographs taken that day showed discoloration on Trump’s hands. Earlier footage of him waving toward an apparently empty White House lawn also sparked speculation online.
The White House has previously attributed his hand bruising to frequent handshaking and aspirin use. Neither incident establishes a new medical concern.
Still, the timing of Trump’s complaints has raised questions about his enthusiasm for the campaign trail.
With the Nov. 3 midterms approaching, he continues traveling to support Republican candidates. It remains unclear whether those appearances are changing voters’ minds.
For now, the president who said he had enough is still making the rounds.
