BATON ROUGE mdash; Scores of drivers rolled into the Benny's Carwash on Siegen Lane Friday evening as the business launched its sixth annual Haunted Carwash.Spooky, costumed employees greeted motorists before sending vehicles through a fright-filled wash tunnel, transforming a routine chore into a Halloween thrill ride.All proceeds from the event benefit Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital. Over the past six years, the annual fundraiser has generated more than $200,000 to support young patients and pediatric healthcare services.For those who missed Friday night's run, the Haunted Carwash reopens Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Families with younger children can take advantage of a sensory-friendly first hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. designed specifically for kids.Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
