Donald Trump’s staffer went from celebrating at an NBA game to becoming the center of a viral spectacle.
Attendees held up their phones to capture a confrontation and a woman’s public outburst before stunned spectators.
Hours after the viral performance, her fate has taken a shocking tur
n, adding another twist to the public showdown.

Like Katie Zacharia‘s short-lived role, Britt McHenry landed a major promotion, only to reportedly lose her job shortly after.
Zacharia was fired just five days into her run as White House press secretary after fallout over her credentials. Her abrupt exit marks one of the shortest tenures in the role’s history.

McHenry started her role as press advisor in September.
Page Six reports that the 40-year-old former ESPN reporter was forced to resigned after an incident at Wednesday’s NBA game.
TMZ footage shows the US State Department press adviser throwing a drink at a fellow fan during the Washington Wizards’ home opener against the Milwaukee Bucks at Capital One Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Boos and rally towels followed as people chanted, “Get her out.”
Witnesses described McHenry as inebriated as she waved, blew kisses, and filmed her exit before arguing with security.
“She was promoted and fired within 24 hours,” a source told the outlet on Friday.
Hours earlier, McHenry had landed a promotion to lead External Affairs and Press for Under Secretary Jacob Helberg’s team.
Since losing her job, she has deactivated her Twitter account and limited the comments on her Instagram page.
But her camp says that’s not exactly what happened.
According to Page Six, she and her male friend sat in front of a rowdy group of men. The men were trashing Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma, a former Wizard, and his fiancée, model Winnie Harlow.
A source told the outlet the hecklers claimed Kuzma “plays terribly because his girlfriend’s ugly.”
McHenry allegedly turned around and told them to tone it down, which only shifted their attention to her. The source claimed one man hurled insults and “threw a drink on her” first, prompting her to retaliate.
The Wizards went on to win 128-116. Social media, however, had plenty to say about McHenry and not the game.
One person said, “Maybe it’s time to add a few more skill sets to the WH hiring qualifications other than the required blonde hair extensions, fake lips, nails etc. The revolving door on the HR Dept is getting a workout lately.”
Another joked, “She was just auditioning for the White House Press Secretary position.” It was a timely jab as Trump has yet to replace Zacharia after firing her less than a week into the job.
One user predicted exactly how the president would spin it: “Trump tomorrow: ‘She is a great person and she’s being treated very unfairly!’”
Plenty of viewers also had flashbacks. In April 2015, ESPN suspended her for a week over surveillance footage of her berating a towing company employee in Arlington, Virginia. McHenry mocked the woman’s looks, weight and education.
“Lose some weight, baby girl,” she said as she walked out in the viral clip.
McHenry apologized at the time and years later, she insisted the video had been “highly edited.”
Still, ESPN let her go in 2017. She later landed at Fox Nation before announcing in September that she’d joined the State Department under Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
