Free Halloween fun coming to Noblesville’s Forest Park
INDIANAPOLIS — Noblesville’s Halloween at Forest Park returns Friday evening for its third year, bringing free family entertainment to the community.
The event runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and features activities designed to be spook
y but not scary for young kids.
Parker Irwin, Noblesville’s recreation manager, said the event has quickly become a beloved autumn staple. Thousands attended the inaugural event three years ago, with even larger crowds returning each year since.
“This from day one has been an instant new family tradition in Noblesville,” Irwin said. “We saw thousands of people in our first year. We saw a couple thousand more on our second year.”
What to expect
Families can enjoy a trick-or-treat trail, hay rides, inflatables and live music throughout the evening.
Costume contests start at 6 p.m., giving children a chance to show off their Halloween outfits.
City department members will host decorated booths, with attendees voting for their favorite. A friendly rivalry has emerged between the police and fire departments, with the fire department claiming victory last year.
“The police department is set on winning this year,” Irwin joked.
Cosmic Mini Golf also makes its Halloween debut at Forest Park this year. The park’s mini golf course will be decorated with Halloween themes only for Friday night.
“It’s going to be super, super cool. It’s the only time of year you’ll be able to do Cosmic Mini Golf at the park this year,” Irwin said.
Know before you go
The event at Forest Park is free for everyone, something Irwin says aligns with the Parks Department’s mission: “Providing entertainment and quality experiences for people in our community at a free or very limited cost.”
The event opens at 4:30 p.m. Friday and closes at 7:30 p.m. While parking and shuttle services are free, priority parking passes for designated event parking are available for $15 per vehicle. Parking passes are NOT a requirement.
Hay rides will stop boarding at 7:15 p.m., so visitors interested in a ride should arrive early.
The trick-or-treat trail and inflatables also close at 7:30 p.m.
