A man driving a motorcycle died after crashing into a light pole in San Mateo on Monday evening, according to police. The crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on Franklin Parkway east of Baze Road. The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man from San Mateo, succumbed to his injuries and his name has not been released.
