You can shop at Philadelphia’s Christmas Village a little longer this holiday season! For the first time, the beloved German Christmas market will stay open beyond Christmas Eve, extending its season through Dec. 27, 2026, and giving locals and out-of-town visitors two extra days to shop, expl ore and soak up the holiday magic. At the heart of LOVE Park, the market’s iconic 30-foot German Christmas Pyramid will once again light up the festivities. Inspired by traditional wooden pyramids from Germany’s Ore Mountains, the towering centerpiece features more than 3,000 sparkling lights. Several fan-favorite attractions will also return, including the 65-foot-tall illuminated Ferris wheel, the historic double-tier Christmas Village Carousel and SEPTA’s Kids Train. And, of course, Santa Claus will be back to hear Christmas wishes and pose for holiday photos. Christmas Village opens beginning Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. Visitors can also get an early taste of the festivities during a special preview weekend Nov. 21-22. This year’s extended schedule means the holiday fun won’t wrap up before Christmas Day. Instead, visitors will have one more weekend to stroll through the market’s wooden vendor booths, admire the festive lights and enjoy the seasonal attractions. Christmas Village is located at 1500 JFK Blvd., City Hall’s courtyard and the North Broad Street section. ...read more read less
