A man was severely injured after being struck by an SUV early Saturday in Northeast Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. At approximately 2:31 a.m., police responded to the 7300 block of Oxford Avenue for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian. According to police , preliminary investigation found that a white Hyundai SUV was traveling north on Oxford Avenue when it struck a man who was crossing toward the west side of the road. Police said the man suffered head and facial injuries and was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
