SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- House of Air, a beloved indoor trampoline park located in San Francisco's Presidio neighborhood, is set to close after 16 years. Known as "the ultimate indoor action park," the facility features four different zones including a dodgeball "Colosseum" and "The Matrix," an open
jump zone.
The park, which first opened back in 2010, is set to close early next year.

"Our final season," read a message on the park's website Friday. "After more than 16 years in Presidio, our last day is Monday, February 27. Come jump with us one more time." An official announcement sent to KRON4 clarified that closure date as Feb. 15 -- the day its 17-year lease expires.
House of Air was housed in a restored 1921 airplane hangar at Crissy Field. Building 926 was built as a hangar for U.S. Army biplanes. House of Air's founders worked with the Presidio Trust, architect Mark Horton and contractor Hathaway Dinwiddie to retrofit the building to modern standards while preserving its historic character.
"Turning a 1921 hangar into a trampoline park took years of hard work and a lot of people who believed in the idea," said House of Air co-founder Paul McGeehan. "We're proud of what we built, and grateful we got to build in here, with the Golden Gate Bridge out our front door."
House of Air did not elaborate on the reason behind the closure. The park will maintain its regular schedule over the next four months, it said.
