Brule County, S.D.- Two people died Monday in a two-vehicle crash near Kimball, South Dakota. Preliminary crash information indicates 31-year-old Stephen Fletcher Clayton from Monticello, Minnesota, driving a 2015 Honda Odyssey, was traveling eastbound on I-90 near mile marker 292. At the same time, 54-year-old Travis Richard Faulhaber of Plankinton, driving a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500, was traveling westbound pulling a stock trailer when a wheel came off the trailer. The wheel crossed the median and struck the Honda. Clayton and one of his passengers sustained fatal injuries. Katie Jayne Clayton sustained life threatening injuries. The Honda’s third passenger had minor injuries. Faulhaber was not injured. The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.
