A man barricaded himself inside a SEPTA bus in Northeast Philadelphia’s Fox Chase neighborhood Monday morning, according to investigators. Also, police said that this man may be connected to the deaths of two women who were found shot in the head inside a burning home in East Mount Airy earlie r on Monday. Family members later told NBC10 the man was involved in the shooting deaths of the two women. According to SEPTA officials, the situation arose around 5:49 a.m., when a man barricaded himself inside a SEPTA Route 18 bus at Rhawn Street and Oxford Avenue. However, officials said, there were no other passengers and no bus driver on the bus when the barricade unfolded on Monday morning. Officials also said the man on the bus is armed.
