Holiday Auction Luncheon To Raise Scholarship Funds For Local Students
Oct 12, 2026
Holiday shoppers can get a head start on gift lists while supporting local women at Make, Bake and Buy, an auction luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Suite Level Lounge at Parkview Field, 1301 Ewing St.
The event is hosted by the American Business Women’s Association (
ABWA) Raintree Chapter and Women of Magnitude Express Network. Proceeds fund scholarships and educational programs for local women. The two chapters typically award about two scholarships each year from the funds raised.
“ABWA’s mission is to grow women in their careers and to help build future female leaders. We hold this fundraiser so that our local chapters can continue that mission in our communities. The funds raised help provide scholarships to local young women, as well as to give local professional women opportunities to further their education,” said Leigh Roberson, event co-organizer.
Auction highlights include Vera Bradley bags, restaurant gift baskets, and massage gift cards. There will also be a wide selection of smaller items suited for holiday giving, including holiday decor, kitchen item packages, food and grocery gift baskets, event tickets, handmade artwork, and gift packages for people of all ages. A bake sale will offer breads, candies, cookies, and more.
“This really is a fun way to not only kick off the holiday season and to get ahead on some gift shopping, but to also empower women at the same time,” Roberson said.
Doors open at 10 a.m. for pre-auction browsing, and the first round of silent auctions begins at 10:30 a.m. A buffet lunch is included with tickets and is served at 11:30 a.m., with a cash bar available.
Early-bird tickets are $35 through Oct. 16. Regular tickets are $45 through Oct. 23. A ticket is required for entry, including the bake sale, and seating is assigned. Tickets are available at bit.ly/MakeBakeBuy2026.
