Dallas police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy who was fatally shot at an apartment complex in southern Dallas early Sunday morning. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at an apartment complex on Wadsworth Drive, off Loop 12 near Interstate 45. According to the Dallas Police Dep artment, when officers arrived, they found an unresponsive juvenile suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The child was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. When asked for specifics on how the child was injured, Dallas police told NBC 5 that the motives and circumstances are still under investigation. Neighbors who said they know the family expressed heartbreak over the shooting. “Their kids were just out here yesterday, and they’re out here playing all the time,” one neighbor said.
