RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Survivors of domestic violence walked the runway Saturday at the Determined to Be Victorious (D2V) Fashion Show in Richmond amid National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event, which took place on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Second Baptist Church Southside, was organized by CEO Teresa Steele, herself a survivor of domestic violence. Steele was inspired to create the fashion show during her healing process. The event aimed to bring awareness to domestic violence and highlight survivors' talents and skills, she said. The Determined to Be Victorious (D2V) Fashion Show featured 13 vendors, 47 models and 16 designers, several of whom are also survivors of domestic violence, Steele said Saturday.
