HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A person was hospitalized after a tractor-trailer carrying two up-armored Humvees crashed on Interstate 295 in Hanover County Friday morning. On Friday, Oct. 9, at around 7 a.m., Virginia State Police (VSP) responded to a tractor-trailer crash on an exit ramp from I-29 5 to Route 301 southbound. State police said the tractor-trailer, which was carrying two up-armored Humvees, was exiting I-295 when the driver said the steering locked. It then entered the gore area, crossed the southbound lanes of Route 301 and hit another vehicle before it lost its load. As of 9 a.m., south and northbound exit ramps from I-295 to Route 301 and all southbound lanes of Route 301 in the area are closed.
