SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A San Francisco man is facing murder charges after prosecutors said he got behind the wheel while intoxicated and slammed into another car while running a red light, killing the two occupants. Three hours following Sunday’s deadly collision in Daly City, 28-year-old Alvaro Fabian Caballero-Arteaga had a blood alcohol level of 0.15%, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. At the time of the crash, prosecutors said Caballero-Arteaga’s driver’s license had already been suspended for a misdemeanor drunk driving arrest in Alameda County earlier this year. The victim driver, identified as Rhiannon Lawler, 46, of San Francisco, was moving through the intersection of Flournoy Street and San Jose Avenue on a green light when her car was broadsided by Caballero-Arteaga, prosecutors said. Lawler was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her passenger, Augustin Garcia, 50, of Daly City, died on his way to the hospital.
