RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department (RPD) shared that more Honda vehicles have been stolen this week in Richmond. On Wednesday, Oct. 7, an official with RPD told 8News that three more Honda vehicles had been stolen in Richmond, along with almost a dozen stolen in the past two wee ks. RPD believes that these thefts are all connected. One case is from Sept. 26, when $6,000 of a Richmond-area musician's gear was stolen along with her Honda CR-V. All the Hondas stolen include vehicles made after 2014 with a push-to-start function with a key fob instead of a traditional key-turn. It's believed that a device using radio waves or electronics is used to first unlock the car from the outside.
