Philadelphia police are searching for masked suspects wanted in multiple armed robberies at various locations across the city, including outside the Four Seasons Hotel. The first robbery occurred on the morning of Friday, Oct. 2, along the 1800 block of West Norris Street. A 36-year-old man was sleeping inside a vehicle when two gunmen wearing face masks approached him, police said. The suspects stole the man’s watch, two silver chains, and a medallion. The same suspects then committed a string of robberies on Sunday, Oct 4, between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. in Northern Liberties, Center City, Spring Garden and North Philadelphia, police said. Surveillance video shows the suspects approach a man and woman along the 400 block of Spring Garden Street at 4:18 a.m. Police said they stole two cellphones, house keys, ID cards and credit cards from the two victims. Robbery on 400 Spring Garden Street. The next robbery occurred around 5:30 a.m. outside the Four Seasons Hotel at the Comcast Technology Center at 1900 Arch Street. Surveillance video shows the two suspects running at a 26-year-old victim who was standing outside the hotel. Police said the suspects forced the victim to the ground and stole an iPhone, wallet, bag and clothing. Robbery on 1900 Arch Street. A few minutes later, around 5:35 a.m., the suspects robbed a 28-year-old man along the 2200 block of Green Street. Police said they stole the man’s Beats headphones and cellphone. At 5:56 a.m., the suspects robbed a man who was walking along the 1300 block of North Broad Street, stealing his Nike book bag. Finally, at 6:03 a.m., the suspects ran towards three women who were walking along the 1900 block of North 16th Street. Video shows the masked suspects robbing the women at gunpoint. Police said they stole a white Victoria’s Secret bag with clothing and jewelry inside as well as a black Coach bag. Robbery on 1900 North 16th Street Investigators said the suspects were using a black Honda Accord that had been stolen in Millville, New Jersey. The vehicle was later recovered on the 2200 block of West Sergeant Street. Police also said they recovered several of the stolen cellphones. Police said the masked suspects are believed to have also committed armed robberies in Philadelphia’s Fairmount and Temple University areas on Tuesday, Oct. 6. At 5:40 a.m. that morning, the two suspects as well as a third suspect robbed a 61-year-old woman who was walking towards the intersection of 27th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The masked gunmen stole the woman’s bag, cellphone, laptop and AirPods case, police said. The final robbery occurred at 6:23 a.m. along the 1900 block of West Norris Street. Police said a 22-year-old man was walking in the area when two masked men got out of a Honda Accord and chased after him. The suspects, as well as three additional suspects inside the Honda Accord, all pointed their guns at him, police said. Police described the vehicle used in both of Tuesday’s robberies as a red 2018-2021 Honda Accord with heavy tint, a sunroof and chrome door handles. The suspects in all eight robberies are described as thin or medium-built Black males between the ages of 16 and 20 wearing all black clothing and ski masks. Police also said they wore red gloves with black palms and were carrying handguns with lasers and flashlights attached. They are considered armed and dangerous. If you see them, do not approach. Instead, call 911. “The way that these suspects are acting, it’s only a matter of time before something really bad happens,” Philadelphia Police Captain Jason Smith said during a press conference on Wednesday, Oct. 7. “Let’s get these maniacs into custody, before somebody seriously gets injured.” If you recognize the suspects or have any information on the robberies, call the Philadelphia Police Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093.
