The Louisiana Resident Scholarship Award will be available to state residents who enroll in the school’s Executive MBA or Professional MBA programs beginning in January 2027 or later, Tulane announced. The $10,000 award will be applied automatically to eligible Louisiana residents and can be combined with additional merit-based scholarships, according to the university. Tulane said the program is intended to help retain professional talent in Louisiana while giving employers greater opportunities to develop current and future leaders. “The Freeman School of Business was founded in 1914 to meet the educational needs of the city’s working professionals, and our commitment to that important population remains just as strong today,” Dean Paulo Goes said. “The Louisiana Resident Scholarship Award was established to make Freeman’s MBA programs more accessible to students who live and work in the state and whose professional success benefits us all. Through these awards, we hope to keep talented professionals in Louisiana and help employers develop local leadership talent.” The Executive MBA is a 17-month accelerated program geared toward experienced professionals seeking additional training in leadership, strategy and decision-making. The hybrid program holds classes every other weekend, alternating between in-person and online sessions. The Professional MBA is a part-time program designed for students who want to continue working full time while earning their degree. Students can choose between in-person weeknight courses and online classes. Both programs are designed to allow students to remain in the workforce while pursuing an MBA.
