Another damp and dreary Sunday
Oct 04, 2026
Showers are tracking into the area this morning and will be with us for much of the day. Northeasterly winds gusting to 20 mph will keep things cloudy and cool, though we won’t get a lot of rain out of this system. Less than a tenth of an inch likely in Philadelphia with parts of South Jersey and
Delaware picking up closer to a quarter inch, just enough to keep things damp and dreary through the day.
Showers taper off overnight and sunshine builds back in tomorrow. A gusty wind will make those low 70s under partly sunny skies feel a touch chillier than the thermometer suggests.
Then it does get chilly. Temperatures will be stepping down over the next few days, especially in the mornings. Tuesday looks like the coolest afternoon of the week with a high of 65° after a morning low of 48°. Wednesday morning could be the chilliest yet with 46° in Philadelphia and some suburbs possibly dipping into the 30s.
But a nice recovery follows with bright sunshine and temperatures warming back into the 70s for the rest of the week. 73° Wednesday, up to 77° Thursday and Friday.
Looking dry next Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 70s. The holiday weekend is shaping up nicely, though Columbus Day Monday could start with some morning showers before clearing out.
