SFPD offers $150,000 reward in 2016 homicide case

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in the 2016 killing of 24-year-old Mitchell Warren.
Warren was shot around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, 2016, near Polk and Ellis streets in the Tenderloin. Police said officers found him suf
fering from a gunshot wound and he later died at San Francisco General Hospital.
Investigators obtained surveillance showing a suspect riding on the handlebars of a bicycle after the shooting. Police said the person pedaling the bicycle has already been identified, but they are still trying to identify the person seen on the handlebars.
SFPD is now offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or people responsible for Warren's death. The reward has increased from $75,000 offered by police in 2022.

Warren was an electrician's apprentice who grew up mainly in Pacifica and was living in San Francisco at the time of his death.
