RICHMOND, Va. (WRIc) –– 8News got a visit from chief meteorologist Matt DiNardo, one of Central Virginia’s five “Leaders of Impact,” to discuss the launch of specialty cookies benefiting heart disease research. 8News anchors Delaney Hall and Madison Moore spoke with DiNardo about another of his latest fundraising efforts to support his campaign with the American Heart Association after the launch of campaign T-shirts in September. In addition to the cookies, DiNardo is urging Virginians to support the campaign by participating in the Heart Walk on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Innsbrook North Shore Commons Lawn. "I want everybody who has bought a shirt or if you're going to buy a shirt, let's walk," DiNardo said. "Huge team. You might be walking for your uncle, your brother, your sister, your mom, your dad.
