SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Some commuters on Wednesday may have had to go without their morning coffee after a power outage along the Embarcadero left the San Francisco Ferry Building in the dark. The lights were out and the gates were down at normally busy morning coffee spots such as Red Bay and Blu e Bottle. Photo: KRON4/Alex Baker According to Pacific Gas and Electric, an unplanned power outage in the area was impacting about 455 customers. The outage was reported at 6:42 a.m., with an estimated restoration time of 12:15 p.m. The cause of the outage is still being investigated, according to a PGE spokesperson. A spokesperson for the Ferry Building told KRON4 that power in the building and adjacent Port properties had been restored as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. ...read more read less
