Skeletal remains were found in the vicinity of LaGuardia Airport in Queens Tuesday evening, authorities say. Sources familiar with the investigation say the remains were located at the border fence in a remote side area. Chopper 4 showed the medical examiner’s office and an NYPD vehicle at t he scene early Wednesday. The Port Authority is also investigating. Skeletal remains were last found near LaGuardia in August 2012. As in the latest case, those bones were found at the airport’s fence, at the edge of Flushing Bay. Upon further investigation, the Port Authority discovered bones in at least 17 places near the shoreline. Many were believed to have been unearthed by weather events.
