A Dallas boy was hospitalized after being shot in the leg while sleeping inside an apartment in the city’s Redbird area Monday night, police said. The shooting happened at about 11:45 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Cockrell Hill Road at the Woodglen Park Apartments. Dallas police said t heir initial investigation found that an unknown suspect shot into an apartment unit, hitting the boy in the leg. At least two bullet holes could be seen in a window of a unit facing Cockrell Hill Road. Dallas police did not clarify whether someone shot into the apartment or whether the window was struck twice in a drive-by shooting, as initially reported. Dallas Fire-Rescue rushed the boy to the hospital. Police said Monday afternoon that he remained in stable condition.
