A San Jose woman accused of harassing a father and his daughter in a viral video appeared in court Tuesday on stalking and hate crime charges, with prosecutors also alleging she was out on bail in an unrelated case involving a death threat.Lindsay Hansen appeared at the Hall of Justice in San Jose T uesday, flashing a toothy grin as she was photographed during the court appearance, as NBC Bay Area reports. She faces felony stalking charges and hate crime allegations stemming from an encounter earlier this month involving a father and his daughter. The incident went viral after video showed Hansen recording the pair from the passenger-side window of her vehicle while accusing the father of sex trafficking the girl because they have different skin colors. Hansen reportedly approached the father and daughter three separate times. Bay Area News Group reports that authorities arrested Hansen about a week after the video went viral. She was charged with one count of felony stalking by repeated following or malicious harassing, with additional allegations that she committed a hate crime while out on bail at the time.That bail allegation stems from an unrelated March case in which Hansen allegedly made a social media post threatening to kill a former employer and the employer’s children.Britlyn McCormick, a deputy district attorney with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office who is prosecuting the March case, told the News Group that Hansen faces a felony charge of threatening a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury, along with misdemeanor charges of threatening to injure by telephone and using an electronic communication device with the intent to annoy.Hansen was reportedly arraigned on both cases at the same hearing earlier this month.Hansen has also been accused of entering a high school locker room and recording students, then posting the footage online.
