A cyclist was killed after colliding with a dump truck in midtown Manhattan Monday morning, according to police. It wasn’t clear if the truck driver was aware of hitting the unidentified cyclist at West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue, near Penn Station. Police said the bicycle rider was an adul t, but didn’t share any further details. The bicyclist and the dump truck driver were both heading west when the vehicle collided with the rider around 11 a.m., according to police. The victim died at the scene.
