CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman is dead and another driver could be facing charges after a crash in Cumberland County on Wednesday. Virginia State Police said 69-year-old Loretta Strickland died after serious injuries in the crash on Anderson Highway near Vogel Road Wednesday, Sept. 23. S trickland was the passenger in a Ford F150 that was travelling eastbound and hit a downed tree. She exited the vehicle, and a Ford Explorer travelling westbound also stopped for the downed tree. While both vehicles were stopped, a Ford Expedition hit the F150, pushing it into Strickland, then hit the Explorer, before coming to rest in a ditch.
