It’s media day for the Philadelphia 76ers! And, starting at 11 a.m., NBC Sports Philadelphia will be live with exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes action and the first glimpse of LeBron James in Philly. But, before that kicks off, on Monday morning, the Sixers announced a “multi-year s trategic partnership” that would make Bloom Energy the Official Jersey Patch Partner for the team’s uniforms. In a statement, organizers said, through this partnership, Bloom Energy and the 76ers will work together on a seven-figure community investment to showcase “their shared commitment to powering the Greater Philadelphia region forward and creating lasting opportunity.” “At the core, our brands are about making communities stronger,” said Tad Brown, CEO of HBSE and the Philadelphia 76ers in a statement. “Ahead of a highly anticipated season, we are proud to welcome Bloom Energy, a powerhouse in the region. We look forward to building a partnership grounded in shared values, community resilience and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the Greater Philadelphia area.” Organizers said that Bloom Energy “has deep roots in the region, with Bloom’s second-largest manufacturing hub located just a few miles from Philadelphia in Newark, Delaware.” “This partnership is about bringing together two organizations that believe stronger communities create powerful opportunities,” said KR Sridhar, Founder and CEO of Bloom Energy in a statement. “From the employees who\ manufacture Bloom’s fuel cells in Delaware to the fans who fill arenas across the region, our connection to the Greater Philadelphia area runs deep. Together with the 76ers, we are proud to help power communities forward and support the people and businesses that keep this region thriving.” Organizers said that, for nearly 15 years, Bloom “has been a significant employer in the region, creating high-quality manufacturing jobs, supporting workforce development, and investing in the communities where its employees live and work.” As part of this partnership, the team said in a statement that Bloom Energy will serve as a partner on several of the Philadelphia 76ers’ community initiatives including the Jr. 76ers Summer Hoops Tour, a Greater Philadelphia region court refurbishment, and joint days of service for 76ers and Bloom staff.
