RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was found dead early Saturday morning in a business in Richmond's North Side. According to the Richmond Police Department (RPD), at about 5:29 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, a passerby saw a person down in a business in the 4200 block of North Avenue in Richmond's North S ide. Both police and the Richmond Fire Department were called to the scene and entered the business, according to a release from RPD. Officers said they found a man down and unresponsive. The man had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death and detectives with RPD's Major Crimes Division are investigating, police said.
