BATON ROUGE mdash; A man was arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder following a verbal argument at a business along Sherwood Forest Court, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.Ronald Roberts Jr., 42, and a woman were at the business to reserve a hotel room when t hey allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute after hotel personnel informed them that their reservation had been cancelled, according to arrest records.As the woman entered her vehicle to leave, Roberts allegedly threatened to punch her in the face before producing a handgun and firing one round, striking the rear left passenger door, detectives said.Detectives said the woman drove to another business before calling authorities, with the incident being caught on surveillance video.Roberts was arrested on Saturday for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.nbsp;Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
