(KRON) -- Elizabeth Holmes had a big week, even from behind prison bars. Federal officials sent Holmes' victims a letter on Sept. 22 stating that the inmate will be transferred out of prison in Texas and sent to a halfway house in the summer of 2027, The New York Times reported. The disgraced an d notorious Silicon Valley tech CEO will begin living at Austin Transitional Center halfway house in August, the Times reported. Holmes, 42, has only served three years of her 11 year sentence at Federal Prison Camp Bryan, a minimum-security facility for incarcerated women. Holmes was the founder of Theranos, a biotech company startup that defrauded investors and gave patients bogus blood test results. Whistleblowers alerted investigators to major problems in Theranos' secretive blood lab. Her then-boyfriend and COO Sunny Balwani privately called the lab a "f***ing disaster zone." At the same time, Holmes convinced sophisticated, high-powered investors to pump millions of dollars into her company. Prosecutors said her lies rose to the level of fraud. Holmes' highly publicized 2022 trial in San Jose ended with jurors finding her guilty on four counts of wire fraud and conspiracy. She filed a clemency petition last year asking for an early release from prison, according to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the Pardon Attorney. It's unclear how long Holmes will be required to stay at the Texas halfway house. Her official release date is still listed as Feb. 22, 2030, according to the Bureau of Prisons' website. A trailer for an upcoming documentary about Holmes, titled "You Can See Everything" and directed by filmmaker Nathan Fielder, was released this week. Fielder and his film crew lived with Holmes and her family during the weeks leading up to her incarceration. Fielder asks Holmes, "You really feel you did nothing wrong?" She replies, "I did not." On Sept. 12, she told X followers that she's spent 847 days in prison, and written nearly 3,000 letters to her two young children and their father, Billy Evans. "I pour my heart out on those pages," she wrote. Holmes, who was pregnant during her trial, gave birth shortly before she reported to prison in May of 2023. In addition to defending her character as a person and decisions as Theranos CEO, Holmes' social media writings reveal some of her goals for once she's a free woman again. The inmate plans on being "the best mom in the world," and apparently, diving back into a healthcare career. A tweet pinned to the top of her profile states, "Theranos challenged the profit center of Big Healthcare -- an industry that refuses to change, because change means loss of profits. Prosecutors attacked our innovations. But failure is part of creating future worlds. And now more than ever we must innovate. For fifteen years I worked 20 hour days, 7 days a week, often living and sleeping in the office ... Now that drive is ignited by the pain of having been ripped from my babies, and the love of my life, in the fight to prove my innocence. I want to apply the thousand lessons burned into me.
