CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools employee has been arrested after showing signs of impairment while operating a vehicle. Stephen Esposito, 46, was stopped during a safety checkpoint on Idlewild Road near Interstate 485. According to the arrest record, Esposito smelled strongly o f alcohol and had red glassy eyes when stopped. Esposito admitted to consuming alcohol and performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety test. The result of the breath test read .11.
