CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The woman accused of killing two Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) contractors in late July is now sitting in Chesterfield County Jail following her extradition from North Carolina. The morning of Friday, July 24, 30-year-old Rai’Shon DeLarge and 34-y ear-old Philip Wilson -- both of Emporia -- were shot and killed while at a VDOT staging area along Route 1 in Chesterfield. Early on, Virginia State Police named 37-year-old Dennikia Boyce of Chesterfield as a suspect in this shooting. However, she wasn't arrested until several weeks later, following a lengthy search that led investigators over state lines to North Carolina. Federal agents took Boyce into custody at a home in Scotland Neck, North Carolina on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
