Skies remain mostly cloudy with a few patches of drizzle or an isolated light shower possible, especially later tonight. This is not meaningful rainfall, though, and most of the night will simpl y be gray and cool. Lows fall into the upper 50s with northeast winds around 5–10 mph, occasionally gusting near 20 mph early. TOMORROW If you are waiting for the sun to come back, Wednesday may test your patience one more time. Plenty of low clouds stick around with perhaps a little drizzle or a stray light shower at times. Most locations stay dry, but it will still have that damp, gloomy feel. Highs only reach the middle to upper 60s with northeast winds around 5–10 mph. TOMORROW NIGHT Mostly cloudy skies continue, although the chances for any drizzle or showers should finally fade away. Lows settle into the upper 50s with northeast winds around 5–10 mph. THURSDAY We finally start turning the corner. Clouds may still hang tough for part of the day, but some breaks of sunshine become increasingly possible as drier air works into central Indiana. Highs climb back into the lower 70s with east to northeast winds around 5–10 mph. Rain is not expected. THURSDAY NIGHT Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy and cool with lows in the middle 50s. Winds remain light from the northeast around 5 mph. It stays dry. FRIDAY Friday should be the payoff after several gray days. Expect considerably more sunshine with highs in the lower 70s and comfortable humidity. East to northeast winds remain light around 5–10 mph. It looks like a very pleasant early-fall afternoon. 7 DAY OUTLOOK The clouds remain stubborn through Wednesday before the pattern finally begins drying out Thursday. Sunshine becomes much easier to find Friday and into the weekend, with highs generally staying around the lower 70s and chilly nighttime temperatures dropping into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Saturday and Sunday look mainly dry and pleasant before temperatures begin creeping upward again early next week.
