New York Giants‘ quarterback Jaxson Dart may require season-ending surgery after suffering an apparent knee injury in the first quarter of Monday night’s game, according to a report. Dart was injured in the team’s first drive of the game against the Los Angeles Rams. He was taken out and di d not return. Jameis Winston replaced Dart on the ensuing Giants drive. Coach John Harbaugh would not confirm reports later in the night that Dart sprained his MCL, choosing to wait for further testing. On Tuesday, it was learned that the injury may have been worse than initially thought, and it could require season-ending surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. I wouldn’t want to share too much until decisions get made, and that takes more than one person, it takes everybody involved,” Harbaugh said. “When we know what direction we’re going to have to go or whatever it might be, we’ll announce that. But we don’t have that yet. So I don’t want to get out over our skis on that. Can’t really respond to every report that people make.” Dart, who was 3-of-5 passing for 20 yards, spent the second half of Monday’s game on the sideline in street clothes.
