A ride-hailing driver was arrested earlier this month for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor during a trip in San Jose, police announced Tuesday. The reported sexual assault happened in the evening on Sept. 12 along the 100 block of Paseo de San Antonio in downtown San Jose, according to polic e. The juvenile male survivor was traveling in a ride-booking vehicle when the driver, identified as 32-year-old Foster City resident Anuj Kumar, allegedly sexually assaulted him, police said. The sexual assault was reported to police later that night. Authorities utilized automated license plate reader cameras to identify the suspect vehicle and subsequently Kumar as the suspect. He was arrested on Sept. 13 in Foster City and booked into jail for sexual assault of a minor, according to police. Detectives believe there may be additional victims.
