INDIANAPOLIS — Kenny Moore II has found his next team. The Philadelphia Eagles are signing the former Indianapolis Colts cornerback to their practice squad, according to NFL Network and ESPN. This reunites him with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, who was once the Colts offensive coordi nator during Moore’s time in Indy. The 30-year-old Pro Bowler reportedly received interest from a few teams. Moore played for the Colts for nine years after he was signed as an undrafted free agent our of Valdosta State University in 2017. He then worked his way up to being one of the veteran leaders on the Colts defense and was even named to the NFL Pro Bowl after logging a career-best 102 tackles in 2021. The Colts released Moore at the beginning of May, allowing him to seek new opportunities elsewhere. The two parties had previously “mutually agreed” to seek a trade. Moore would have entered his third and final year of a $30 million contract extension. Moore posted a thank you note to Indianapolis and the Colts to his Instagram page back in May, saying in part: “This is the ending but now I have to embrace the waiting before a new beginning… See you later, I will not say goodbye.
