BATON ROUGE mdash; A cat and a dog survived a house fire Monday evening at the corner of Lobdell Boulevard and Goodwood BoulevardThe Baton Rouge Fire Department said that the firefighters were on their way to a store when they noticed smoke coming from the eaves of the house.nbsp;The homeowners wer e outside of the burning house, but trying to get back in to save their pets when firefighters arrived.nbsp;The department said that a cat and dog were found alive and rescued.
