NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A dog died in a house fire in New Kent County on Sunday morning. On Sunday, Sept. 20, around 9:40 a.m., New Kent Fire-Rescue responded to a house in the Quinton area within New Kent. Once on scene, crews worked to reduce the spread of the fire, and as more crews arri ved, the fire was quickly brought under control. New Kent Professional Firefighters - Local 4988 said there were no people or firefighters injured, but a dog died in the fire.
