(KRON) -- An alleged DUI hit-and-run driver who authorities said crashed into another car in the South Bay was located and arrested after officers noticed their license plate number was imprinted on the victim’s bumper. The collision occurred Sept. 12 around 11:10 p.m. The California Highway Patr ol said the two-vehicle crash injured the victim driver and two young children in the victim’s car. The suspect driver fled the crash scene. Fortunately for investigators, CHP San Jose said the impact of the crash left behind an imprint of the suspect's license plate. Officers went to the registered owner’s address and found the alleged driver. A photo shared by CHP shows a breathalyzer device displaying a blood alcohol content of 0.179.
