NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people are dead after a pickup truck overturned and eventually caught fire on Interstate 64 in New Kent early Friday morning. According to Virginia State Police, troopers responded to a deadly single-vehicle crash on I-64 westbound at mile marker 217 near Clarke R oad at 1:02 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The initial investigation has indicated that a 2023 GMC pickup truck overturned and caught fire. The driver and passenger died at the scene, officials said.
